This 7-hour coding workshop is specifically designed for busy executives, working professionals or tertiary level students who have no prior knowledge of computer programming.
The workshop will equip participants with key concepts and essential programming skills in Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). VBA is the programming language for the Microsoft Office Suite. This workshop will focus on using VBA within the Microsoft Excel context.
VBA allows the user to get more out of Excel in ways that are otherwise impossible to accomplish. Examples, writing a simple Excel macro that automates mundane tasks, performing complex computations, accessing different workbooks/worksheets, creating a front-end user-friendly Userform, controlling other Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Powerpoint, Access) and more.
In order to ensure that participants have the best learning environment in this workshop, the class size is kept small (no more than 8 participants). Places are limited. Please register for the workshop early!
More details and scope of this workshop can be found here.
Our past participants’ feedback on this workshop can be found here.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Participants must bring along their own laptops or macs installed with running copy of Microsoft Excel 2007 or later version. All hands-on coding exercises will be done on the participants’ laptops or macs. No laptops or macs will be provided.
